| Good Morning, I am the president of the Gateway Band Boosters. Please allow me to take a bit of your time to express how greatful we are to Elizabeth Forward and all of you.
As I sit here the morning after the Contest of Champions, I am feeling so many different emotions.
I am quite humbled by you, our comrades and colleagues at Elizabeth Forward; your kids, staff, parents, friends, school board and administration.
We have been through a very trying time, and we pulled together and overcame. I was telling our band members that when times are tough, true character is displayed. The past three days proven that this could not be more true. We all, were able to rise to the occasion and perform in ALL aspects at our “home away from home”. This could not have been done without your help. You truly made us feel at home. Thank you.
There are so many people and actions that we need to be thankful for. There is NO way that all the thanks and appreciation can ever be conveyed. There were so many people involved, some of whom we don’t even know. In short, THANK YOU to all of them and you, as without everyone pulling together to make it work, it would not have been the success that it was. Please make sure you take the time to thank and show our appreciation to EVERYONE involved.
Greatness happens out of adversity and I can honestly say that there has been a lot of greatness from this challenge. I personally feel that I have met some wonderful people, people you should be very proud of; and from that, I now have many new friends.
Good luck to you and the band during the remainder of the season, PIMBA and BOA competitions. We will be rooting and cheering for you!
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.
